In the sidebar, open **Enterprise Hub**, then **Team & Access**, then **Team & Roles**. The page address is `/enterprise/users`.

The hub team is everyone who can open the hub. Hub roles decide what each of them can do inside the hub. Being on the hub team does not add anyone to an organization; that is done inside each organization ([[add-a-team-member]]).

## Before you start

- The person must already sign in to Nova with the email you type. Nova does not send them an invitation, and an email Nova does not know gets "User not found".
- Your hub role needs permission to manage hub memberships to add, suspend or remove people, and permission to manage hub user roles to change their roles.
- Roles are typed by their key, the role's **Name** on **Roles & Permissions** ([[create-a-hub-role]]). The built-in keys are `hub_owner`, `hub_admin`, `hub_security_admin`, `hub_operations_admin`, `hub_finance_admin`, `hub_support_admin`, `hub_analyst` and `hub_readonly`. The field suggests keys as you type.

## Steps

To add someone:

1. Under **Add user**, type their **Email**.
2. In **Roles (comma separated keys)**, type one or more role keys separated by commas, for example `hub_admin, hub_analyst`. Leave it blank to give them read-only access (`hub_readonly`).
3. Press **Add user**. Nova says **User added to hub.** and they appear in the list as active. The hub shows up in their account menu the next time it loads.

To change someone later, find them with **Search users** or **Membership status**, then:

1. To change roles, edit the keys in their **Roles** box and press **Save roles**. The keys you leave there replace what they had. The button reads **Saved** for a moment.
2. To pause their access, pick suspended or inactive under **Status** and press **Save status**. The button reads **Saved** for a moment. Pick active again to give it back.
3. To take them off the team, press **Remove**. Nova removes them straight away, without asking you to confirm, and says **User removed from hub.**

## What you see

- Each row shows the person's name and email, their **Status** and their **Roles**.
- A suspended or inactive person stays in the list but cannot open the hub. A removed person leaves the list and loses their hub roles.

## If something looks different

- Nova says "Unknown role keys" and names them: a key is misspelled or belongs to a role that no longer exists. Check the **Name** on **Roles & Permissions**.
- Nova refuses to take the Hub Owner role away from someone, suspend them or remove them: they are the last active owner. Give another person `hub_owner` first.
- Nova says the hub has reached its member limit: your plan caps the hub team. Remove or set someone to inactive, or ask Nova support.
- A yellow note says **Hub user management is currently disabled by entitlement.** and the controls are greyed out: your plan does not include managing the hub team.
- The boxes and buttons are greyed out without that note: your hub role can see the team but not change it.
