In the sidebar, open **Settings**, then choose **Resources** under **Scheduling**. The page address is `/settings/org/schedule-resources`. The page heading reads **Schedule resources**.

## Before you start

- A resource is anything you put work on: a person or a piece of equipment. A person has to be a member of your team in Nova first; add them under **Team & Roles** if they are not.
- Resources belong to the branch selected in the top bar.
- Your role needs permission to create schedule resources. Otherwise **Add resource** is missing.

## Steps

1. Press **Add resource**. A drawer opens.
2. Under **Resource type**, choose **User** for a person or **Asset** for equipment.
3. For a person, search under **User** and pick them. For equipment, type a **Display name**.
4. Leave **Status** on **Active**. Choose **Inactive** to set the resource up now and book it later.
5. Leave the **Eligible for booking** switch on so the resource can take work.
6. Set the **Timezone** only if this resource works in a different zone from the organization.
7. Under **Working hours**, leave inherited days alone and only change the days when this resource differs from the branch. Press **Customize** on a day to set its own times.
8. Under **Holiday Policy**, choose **Inherit branch calendar** (follow the branch's holidays), **Ignore holidays** (works through them) or **Custom holiday calendar** (a different regional calendar plus extra dates).
9. Press **Create resource**.

## What you see

- The list shows **Name**, **Type**, **Status**, **Schedulable**, **Timezone** and **Updated**. Search with **Search resources**; **Filters** narrows by status and type.
- Each row has **Edit** and **Archive**. Archived rows show **Restore** instead.
- Editing a person adds a **Photo** choice (**Use their profile photo** or **Custom photo**), a **Name source** (**User profile** or **Custom**) and a **Public provider profile** section that controls how they appear when customers pick a technician in public booking.
- The linked **User** is fixed after creation. Create a new resource for another person so history stays put.
- In **Public provider profile**, **Resource profile** follows the resource name; **Custom** reveals **Public display name**. The public avatar uses the **Photo** setting.
- **Show avatar** and **Show bio** switch those details on or off for customers. **Service public keys** optionally limits the provider to the listed booking services; leave it empty for all.
- The edit drawer also holds **Leave Policies**: tick the time off policies this person follows and press **Save policy assignments**. See [[set-time-off-policies]].

## If something looks different

- The page reads **No schedulable resources yet**: everyone is switched off or nothing has been added. The **Manage users** link takes you to **Team & Roles**.
- Depending on your organization's reason rules, archiving may first ask you to confirm and give a reason. History stays; the resource just stops taking work. **Restore** brings it back inactive and switched off, so set **Status** to **Active** and turn **Eligible for booking** on again.
- An archived or inactive resource has gone from the list: **Filters** starts on **Active only**.
- A person is missing from the **User** search: your role cannot view users, or they are not a member yet.
