Open the **Dashboard** by selecting your organization name in the sidebar. The page address is `/dashboard`. Widgets show the work and information you want to keep nearby.

## Steps

1. Select **Edit dashboard**. If someone else's shared dashboard is open, select **Customize a copy** to make your own version.
2. Select **Add widgets**. Search by name or choose a category, then add the widgets you need. Close the drawer to arrange them. To start from a ready-made layout instead, pick one from **Use a template** (**Overview**, **Operations**, **Billing** or **Empty dashboard**).
3. Drag a widget's handle to move it. The dashed outline shows where it will land. Drag its lower corner to resize it.
4. To arrange widgets without dragging, open a widget's actions menu and choose **Move earlier**, **Move later**, **Duplicate**, or **Widget settings**. The settings let you change its title, width, height and supported filters. Select **Apply** when finished.
5. Use **Undo** to reverse an edit. **Remove widget** removes the card from this layout without changing application records.
6. Select **Save**, enter a dashboard name and choose whether to make it your personal default. If your access allows it, you can share the dashboard with your organization and make it the organization's default.
7. Select **Save dashboard**. Your dashboard is available in the selector on your other devices too.

## What you see

- Dashboard filters affect only widgets that support them. Work dates look ahead; analytics look back. A widget's subtitle shows its scope, and **Widget settings** can give it separate filters.
- Filters changed while viewing are temporary. Save them in edit mode to keep them in the layout.
- Nova Setup shows your progress and next steps. Account security shows one recommendation at a time. You can remove either widget; required sign-in security still applies.
- Loading, empty and unavailable widgets keep their place. A failed widget can be retried without reloading the others.
- On a phone, widgets stack in reading order. Use their menus to move or resize them; your computer layout is preserved.
- **Cancel** lets you leave an edit without saving. If you have made changes, Nova asks before discarding them and also offers to save.

## If something looks different

- A missing widget or editing button usually means your role or plan does not include it. Shared layouts never grant access to additional records.
- If another person saves the same dashboard first, your draft stays open. In the save drawer, choose **Save as a new dashboard** to keep your version separately.
- To delete a default dashboard, first edit and save it with its default choice cleared. Then use **Delete dashboard** in the dashboard actions menu.
