In the sidebar, open **Resources**, then **Knowledge Base**. The page address is `/resources/knowledge-base`. The home page gathers the pages your team uses most; the full list lives at **Browse all**, address `/resources/knowledge-base/browse`.

## Before you start

- Anyone with permission to read knowledge base pages can use the home page and search.
- The **Trash** button and the ability to restore a page need the permission to delete pages. **Insights** needs the permission to update pages.

## Steps

To find a page:

1. Press the search button at the top right of the home page and type a word from the page. Results come from the knowledge base only. (Ctrl or Cmd plus K anywhere in Nova opens the same search box, but across all of Nova.)
2. Or scan the home page sections: **Pinned for your team** (pages an admin pinned), **Recently updated**, **Most opened**, **Your saved pages** and **You looked at recently**.
3. Or look under **Page outline** to see pages in their folders, and press **Browse all** for the complete list. There you can search, sort by **Name**, **Last updated** or **Times opened**, and switch on **Only pinned pages**.
4. Open the page. To keep it handy, press **Save** in its header; it then appears under **Your saved pages** on your home page. Press **Saved** to remove it again.

To restore a deleted page:

1. Press **Trash** at the top right of the home page. The **Deleted pages** drawer opens.
2. Find the page and press **Restore**. It returns to where it was.

## What you see

- The counters at the top show **Published pages**, **Work in progress** (drafts, only when there are some) and **Pinned**.
- **Your work in progress** lists your own unpublished drafts. **Needs a review** lists pages that are due a check.
- On a page, someone with the publish permission can press **Pin** or **Unpin** to control what the whole team sees under **Pinned for your team**.
- On a page, the actions menu offers **Move to archive** (kept, but out of the way) and **Delete this page** (goes to **Deleted pages**). A page in the archive can be brought back with **Move out of archive**.

## If something looks different

- The home page reads **No pages yet**: nothing has been written. See [[create-a-knowledge-base-page]].
- The **Trash** button is missing: your role cannot delete pages, so it cannot restore them either. Ask an admin.
- The drawer reads **Nothing in the trash**: the page was archived rather than deleted. Open **Browse all**, set the status filter to **Archived** (shown when your role can edit pages), open the page, and use **Move out of archive**.
- The page reads **We couldn't find that page**: the link is old or the page was deleted. Check **Deleted pages**.
