In the sidebar, open **Settings**, then choose **Apply Jobs** under **Templates**. The page address is `/settings/org/templates/jobs`. The page title reads **Template apply jobs**.

This page lists template applies that run in the background. When you create a task, project or portfolio from a template on Nova's own screens, it happens on the spot and never shows here, so most days the list is empty. A run appears when a project, task or portfolio template is applied the background way, which connected apps and AI teammates can ask for.

## Before you start

- Your role needs permission to read template apply runs to open the page. Cancelling and retrying each need their own permission; hover over a greyed-out button to see which one is missing.
- The list refreshes on its own while a run is active. Press **Refresh** to check right away.

## Steps

1. Find the run. Filter by **Status** (**All**, **Active (queued + running)**, **Queued**, **Running**, **Succeeded**, **Failed**, **Cancelled** or **Terminal**), by **Template type** (**Project templates** or **Task templates**; portfolio runs show only under **All**), or tick **Started by me**.
2. Read the card. It names the template type, the status, the current stage, when the run was created and how long it took. Go by the status: the bar underneath stays at 0% even on a finished run.
3. When the status reads succeeded, press **Open task** or **Open project** on the card to go to what was created.
4. If a run is stuck, press **Cancel** (on a run that has not started yet the button reads **Cancel queued**). It reads cancelled straight away.
5. If a run has failed, read the reason at the bottom of the card, fix the cause, then press **Retry**.

## What you see

- **Active (queued + running)** is the filter to leave on while you wait for something. **Terminal** shows everything that has finished, whichever way.
- Cancelling a run that is already applying does not undo it: the project or task is still made, and **Open task** or **Open project** appears on the cancelled card. Archive it if you do not want it.
- **No apply jobs match the current filters.** means the filter found nothing, not that something went wrong.
- Above the list on **Task Templates**, **Apply jobs** shows how many background runs your plan allows at once.

## If something looks different

- **Retry** is off and says the run already created a target: the project or task exists. Open it rather than retrying, or you would get a duplicate.
- **Cancel** is missing or off: the run has already finished, or a cancellation is already queued.
- You created a task from a template and expected to see it here: Nova's own screens make it right away. Look in the tasks or projects list.
- The run succeeded but the task is missing subtasks: only a published template version is applied, so changes still sitting in a draft are not in it. Publish the draft, then apply the template again.
