In the sidebar, open **Automation**, then **Automations**. The page address is `/lifecycle-automation/automations`. Two buttons at the top right work on the whole list instead of one row: **Pause filtered** and **Verify default pack**.

## Before you start

- Both actions need permission to publish automation definitions and an online connection.
- **Pause filtered** acts on everything the list currently shows, so set your filters first and read the count in the confirmation before you agree.

## Steps

To pause a group of automations:

1. Use **Search automations** and **Filters** (**Status**, **Domain**, **Channel**) until the list shows only the automations you want to stop. To stop everything, leave the filters at **All statuses**, **All domains** and **All channels**.
2. Press **Pause filtered**. The **Pause matching automations?** dialog repeats your filters in words and says how many automations it will pause.
3. Press **Pause matching automations**. Every matching automation changes to **Paused**. Pending work is blocked and active enrollments stay paused until each automation is turned on again, one by one.

To restore the standard automations:

1. Press **Verify default pack**. The button is highlighted with a wrench icon when Nova already knows something is missing or out of date.
2. Read the **Verify default automation pack?** dialog. It checks the standard customer-notification automations, restores any missing default templates or automations, and updates outdated defaults while leaving your own edited automations alone.
3. Press **Verify pack**. Restored defaults arrive switched off, so nothing starts sending until you turn it on.

## What you see

- After a group pause, the **Off** counter at the top counts the automations you paused.
- After a verify, any automation that was missing reappears in the list with the **Default** tag and the status **Off**.
- The confirmation for a group pause has the cancel button selected by default, so pressing Enter does not pause anything by accident.

## If something looks different

- **Pause filtered** is greyed out: either the list is empty, you are offline, or your role cannot publish automations.
- The list is empty with the message **No automations match these filters**: the empty state offers **Verify default pack** directly.
- You paused one automation by mistake: find its row and press **Turn on**. See [[turn-an-automation-on-or-off]].
