In the sidebar, open **Administration**, then choose **Audit Log** under **System**. Press **Technician day** at the top of the Audit Log. The page address is `/settings/org/audit/technician-day`.

## Before you start

- Your admin has to give your role the audit log permission. Without it, neither page opens.
- The page lists what the person did in Nova themselves: signing in, changing records, sending messages, attempts that were refused. Work that someone else gave them shows under that other person's name, not theirs.
- The **Technician** list holds every team member in your organization, not only technicians.

## Steps

1. Under **Technician**, pick the person. Each name shows with the person's email address. The page starts on your own name.
2. Under **Date**, pick the day. It starts on today, in your organization's time zone.
3. Press **Run report**.
4. Press any row to open that event. The drawer shows the **Actor**, the **Request**, the **Resource**, and under **Changes** the fields that changed with their old and new values.
5. To go back to your own name and today, press **Reset**.

## What you see

- The day is split into one group per sign-in, newest first. Each group heading shows how many events it holds and the time of the first and last one. Events that did not come from a sign-in, such as work Nova did on its own, sit under **No session**.
- Each group lists its events with the columns **When**, **Action**, **Resource**, **Actor** and **Outcome**. The action is Nova's own name for what happened, with its category underneath.
- Older events load as you scroll down.
- **Saved views** keeps the person and day you use, so you can come back to them. **Refresh list** reloads the page.

To search a longer period, one record's history, or everyone at once, use the Audit Log itself: [[read-the-audit-log]]. Its **Actor** filter follows one person across any date range.

## If something looks different

- **Select a technician to view their activity.**: no one is picked yet. Choose a name under **Technician**. **Run report** stays greyed out until you do.
- **No activity recorded for this day.**: the person did nothing in Nova on that date. Try another day.
- Every event sits under **No session**, the **Actor** column is blank, and the drawer shows no changes: your role can open the audit log but not its sensitive details. Ask your admin for permission to view sensitive audit details.
- **Unable to load audit events.**: press **Retry**, then refresh the page if it keeps failing.
