In the sidebar, open **Reports**, then **Bank Deposits**. The page address is `/insights/finance/deposits`. The page heading reads **Finance Analytics**, and **Deposits** is the highlighted tab in the report card at the top. The neighbouring tabs, **Invoices**, **Payments** and **Statements**, switch the same page to those reports.

## Before you start

- Your admin has to give your role permission to view finance reporting. Exporting needs the data export permission as well.
- Deposit exports cover the organization. Select all branches and use a role with permission to view work across all branches; a branch-limited export is refused.
- This report only covers card payments taken through Nova Payments. Cash and cheques never appear here. To see a single deposit as it travels to your bank, see [[track-bank-deposits]].

## Steps

1. Press **Filters** to open the filter panel.
2. Set **Deposit date from** and **Deposit date to**.
3. Under **Deposit status**, leave **All deposit statuses** or choose **Pending**, **Paid**, **Failed** or **Canceled**.
4. Under **Reconciliation**, leave **All reconciliation states** or choose **Reconciled**, **Mismatch**, **Needs review**, **Pending** or **Failed** to find deposits that do not add up.
5. If you take more than one currency, pick one under **Currency**. Otherwise leave **Auto currency scope**.
6. Read the four cards, then the list. Press the **Deposit** column heading to flip the sort between newest and oldest.
7. To find one deposit, type in the search box. Its prompt reads **Search deposit reference or descriptor**.
8. Press **Open payment operations** to go to the queue where failed payments, refunds and disputes are worked. See [[find-billing-problems-in-finance-ops]].
9. Choose **CSV** or **XLSX** and press **Export report** to queue a file, or **Download latest** for the last one.
10. Press **Reset filters** to start over, or **Saved views** to keep the filters for next time.

## What you see

- **Gross collected** is the card total before anything was taken out, with the number of deposits in scope.
- **Fees** is what the card processor kept before paying you.
- **Refunds and disputes** shows both amounts, with how many deposits need review underneath.
- **Net deposited** is what reached your bank, with how many deposits were paid and how many failed.
- Each row shows the **Deposit** reference and method, its **Status** with the reconciliation state underneath, **Timing** (expected and paid dates), the **Deposit breakdown** (gross, refunds, disputes, processor fees, adjustments) and **Linked records** (how many payments, refunds, disputes and settlement lines are in it).
- The deposit label uses the bank statement description when available. Otherwise it reads Nova Payments deposit; use the date and amount to match it to your bank statement.
- A row marked **Needs review** has a line that could not be matched to a payment in Nova, or that conflicts with one.

## If something looks different

- The list is empty and says no bank deposits match the report scope: widen the dates or clear the status filters. If it stays empty, Nova Payments may not be set up for your organization.
- A note says exports stay separated by currency: you have more than one currency in scope, so the export keeps each currency's totals apart rather than adding them together.
- **Export report** is greyed out: your role cannot export data, or the date range is invalid.
