In the sidebar, open **Automation**, then **By Area**, then **Work**. The page address is `/work/lifecycle`. The page heading reads **Work lifecycle hub**. It watches the automated sequences that run on portfolios, projects and tasks, such as follow-ups on stalled work, separately from work order automation.

## Before you start

- Your role needs permission to view projects, tasks or portfolios to open the page, and the **View lifecycle automation** permission to see anything on it. Without the second, the page shows **Lifecycle access is unavailable**.
- Pausing, resuming and stopping a sequence, reviewing approvals and creating automations each need their own permission. Controls you lack are greyed out or missing.

## Steps

1. Read the four tiles at the top: **Visible automations**, **Pending approvals**, **Open enrollments** and the next due action.
2. Scroll to **Actionable enrollments**. Each row is one project, task or portfolio currently inside an automation, with its **Status**, **Subject**, **Current step** and **Next due** date.
3. To hold a sequence, press **Pause lifecycle sequence** on its row. Press **Resume** when it should carry on.
4. To end a sequence for good, press **Suppress future actions** and confirm in **Suppress future lifecycle actions?**. The history stays; nothing further runs.
5. Press **Why this happened** to see the reasoning behind a step, or **Open record** to jump to the project or task itself.
6. To handle approvals, press **Work domain approvals** under **Quick actions**, or **Review next approval** to open the next one.

## What you see

- **Active automations** lists the sequences set up for work, each with its **Journey**, **Scope** and when it was **Updated**. **Builder**, **Runtime** and **Insights** open an automation's settings, its live activity and its results.
- **Interventions and holds** collects blocks, holds and failed steps that need someone's attention.
- **Recent work lifecycle activity** shows what ran lately; **Work lifecycle analytics** shows results, when your role can see analytics.
- **Open my work** returns to your own lane. **Open control plane** and **Global approval queue** go to the organization-wide automation pages.

## If something looks different

- A button under **Quick actions** reads **View only**, **Approval review gated**, **Analytics gated** or **Content access gated**: your role lacks that permission.
- **Create work automation** opens a builder drawer. Under **Create or extend** there is also a shortcut that starts from the **Work follow-ups** preset. Building an automation is an admin task; to stop or pause one for a single project or task, use the row actions above.
- Nothing is listed under **Active automations**: none has been created for this branch or organization yet.
- You want the same for leads and customers: see [[review-account-automation]].
