In the portal's sidebar, open **Billing**, then **Invoices & payments**. The page address ends in `/invoices`. The button in an invoice email opens that one invoice on a secure page, without the summary or your other invoices; see [[invoice-email]].

## Steps

1. Open **Invoices & payments**. The **Your billing** summary at the top counts your **Documents**, how many are **Outstanding**, how many deposit requests have a **Payment due**, the **Balance Due**, any **Deposits + Credits** on your account and your **Payment History**.
2. Scroll to the invoice. Each one is laid out like the paper copy, newest first.
3. To print or save it, select **PDF** at the top of the invoice. It opens in a new tab and matches the copy the company emailed.

## What you see

- The header names the document (**Invoice** or **Deposit request**), its number, the **Invoice date** and the due date, and your billing and service address.
- The big amount is the **Balance due** while money is owed, with the due date under it. Once nothing is owed, it reads **No amount due**. The status chip reads **Unpaid**, **Payment due**, **Past due** or **Paid**.
- The lines, then **Subtotal**, **Discounts**, **Fees**, tax, **Paid**, **Credits applied** and **Total due** (or **Paid in full**).
- **Payment history**, near the bottom, lists every payment on this invoice, with **Applied here** and **Whole payment** amounts and the receipt that was sent. See [[see-your-past-payments]].
- **Additional details** and **Supporting attachments** appear when the company added them. Payment instructions show in the payment section, or in the panel headed "How to pay this invoice".
- A **Pay** button beside the balance when online payment is available. See [[pay-an-invoice-online]].

## If something looks different

- **No billing documents yet.**: the company has not asked you for a payment.
- **No amount due**: the invoice is paid, or was voided, credited, refunded or written off. The chip says which.
- The **PDF** button is missing: the company has not allowed downloads for your account.
- A "How to pay this invoice" panel instead of a **Pay** button: online card payment is off for this invoice. The panel lists the ways the company accepts payment and asks you to quote the invoice number with it.
