In the sidebar, open **Reports**, then **Statements**, then **Statement Activity**. The page address is `/insights/finance/statements`. The other two pages are **Statement Engagement** at `/insights/finance/statements/engagement` and **Statement Collections** at `/insights/finance/statements/effectiveness`.

## Before you start

- Your admin has to give your role permission to view finance reporting, and statements have to be turned on for your organization.
- All three pages share the same **Scope filters**, and the links between them carry the filters across.

## Steps

1. On **Statement Activity**, set **Statement date (start)** and **Statement date (end)**. The pages cover statements whose period falls in that range.
2. To narrow it, pick a **Branch**, a **Source account**, an **Effective account** (the account that gets the bill) or a **Payer account**.
3. Under **Delivery state**, leave **All states** or choose **Sent**, **Delivered**, **Failed**, **Bounced** or **Pending**. Under **Engagement state**, choose **Viewed** or **Unviewed** to split customers who looked from those who did not.
4. Read **Statement lifecycle KPIs**, then scroll to **Recent statement activity** and press **Statement detail** on a row to open the statement, or **Account detail** to open the customer.
5. Under **Statement activity drilldowns**, press **Statement Engagement** to see who opened, viewed or downloaded their statement.
6. Press **Collections Effectiveness** to see which statements led to payment and which still need a follow-up.
7. On any page, press **Export** under **Operator actions** to queue a file. See [[export-a-finance-report]].

## What you see

- On **Statement Activity**: **Statements generated** (with how many are drafts), **Statements locked** (with how many were sent), **Open receivable** (with how many statements are overdue) and **Post-send payments** (with how many statements were paid after sending). Each recent statement row shows its status, the customer, the period and when it was sent.
- On **Statement Engagement**: **Portal views**, **Downloads**, **Email opens** and **SMS clicks** for the range. **Sent but not viewed** lists customers who received a statement and never looked. **Viewed but unpaid** lists customers who looked but still owe. **Recent engagement trail** lists the latest opens and views.
- On **Statement Collections**: **Payments after send**, **Avg days to pay**, **Effectiveness ratio** (the share of the statement balance collected after sending) and **Overdue open balance**. **Converted after statement send** ranks statements by money collected. **Follow-up segments** lists **Viewed but unpaid** and **Overdue without recent engagement** customers.
- A green chip under **Operator actions** says how fresh the numbers are.

## If something looks different

- **No statements matched the current activity scope.**: widen the dates or clear an account filter. Statements only appear once they have been generated. See [[generate-a-statement]].
- **Multiple currencies in scope**: totals stay split until you pick one under **Currency focus**.
- **Check the statement period**: the end date is before the start date.
- Customers received a statement but nothing shows as viewed: only portal views, email opens, text clicks and downloads count. A statement read on paper never registers.
