In the sidebar, open **Reports**, then **Invoices**, then **Invoice Performance**. The page address is `/insights/finance/invoices`. The month-by-month view is **Invoice Cohorts** at `/insights/finance/invoices/cohorts`.

## Before you start

- Your admin has to give your role permission to view finance reporting.
- Both pages offer the same **Scope filters**. The links between them do not carry your filters across, so set them again on the other page.

## Steps

1. Set **Invoice date (start)** and **Invoice date (end)**. The report covers invoices dated in that range and opens on the last 30 days.
2. To narrow it, pick a **Branch**, a **Source account** (the account the work was done for) or an **Effective / payer account** (the account that gets the bill).
3. Under **Invoice status**, leave **All statuses** or pick one, such as **Unpaid**, **Overdue**, **Partially paid** or **Paid**.
4. If you bill in more than one currency, pick one under **Currency focus**.
5. Read the cards under **Invoice performance KPIs**.
6. Under **Drilldowns**, press **Invoice cohorts** to see the same invoices grouped by their invoice month.
7. Press **Invoice collections** or **Invoice detail** when you need the list of invoices behind the numbers. See [[find-overdue-invoices-to-follow-up-on]].

## What you see

- **Invoice count** with the number fully paid underneath; **Total invoiced**; **Open balance** with the number of overdue invoices; **Overdue balance** with how many were voided or canceled.
- **Avg invoice size** compares with the period just before. **Avg days to pay** shows the collection rate underneath.
- **Delivery sent** counts invoices that went out, with how many were opened and how many failed.
- **Overdue change** shows the overdue invoice count and how it moved against the prior period.
- On **Invoice Cohorts**, each row under **Cohort summary** is one month and currency: how many invoices there were, how many are paid, the percent collected, the average invoice, the average days to pay and how many are overdue.
- Under **Operator actions**, a green chip says how fresh the numbers are, and you can export the invoices in scope.

## If something looks different

- **No invoices are available to build cohorts for this scope.**: nothing matches the filters. Widen the dates or clear a filter.
- A yellow bar on **Invoice Cohorts** says it is showing the most recent invoices only: the scope is larger than one page. Export the report for the full set.
- The filter footer turns red with a date message: the end date is before the start date.
- Amounts are listed per currency: pick one under **Currency focus** to see a single set of totals.
