In the sidebar, open **Settings**, then choose **Schedule Policies** under **Scheduling**. The page address is `/settings/org/schedule`. Scroll to the **Schedule colors** section under **Organization schedule**.

## Before you start

- Colours apply to the selected branch, like the rest of the page.
- Your role needs the schedule settings permission, and your plan has to include schedule colours. If it does not, the section reads "Requires the schedule colors entitlement" and stays read-only.
- Changes save on their own. The page footer reads **Changes save automatically.**

## Steps

1. Under **Palette**, click a swatch to change it. Nova hands these colours out in order to technicians, crews and other assignees that have no colour of their own, so keep them easy to tell apart.
2. Press **Add color** to add a swatch, or **Remove** next to a swatch to drop it. **Reset palette** puts the standard palette back.
3. Under **Item types**, set the colour for each kind of calendar item: **Work order**, **Task**, **Project & milestone**, **Reservation**, **Activity**, **Rental**, **Block**, **Travel** and **Time off**. **Reset defaults** restores the standard colours.
4. Under **Assignee overrides**, use **Add assignee override** to search for a person, crew, capacity pool or bookable unit and give it a fixed colour. Everyone you do not list keeps their palette colour.
5. Press **Remove** next to an override to drop it, or **Clear overrides** to drop them all.

## What you see

- Each colour has a swatch and a hex field, so you can type a colour code such as `#2563eb`.
- The palette has a maximum size; when you reach it, **Add color** is disabled and the page says so.
- Before you add any overrides the section reads "No overrides yet. Colors will be assigned from the palette."
- Item colours show on the Schedule, the list and the map.

## If something looks different

- Swatches do not respond: your role can view but not change schedule settings.
- A technician's colour changed after you added or removed a swatch: automatic colours follow palette order. Give that person an override to keep a colour fixed.
