In the sidebar, open **Administration**, then choose **Security Policies** under **Team & Access**, and scroll to **Share-link policy**. The page address is `/settings/org/security`.

When someone on your team shares a file, folder, work order, quote, invoice or agreement with a customer, the link they send has an expiry. This section sets the default for new links.

## Before you start

- Your admin has to give your role permission to write organization settings.
- Changing the policy does not touch links that already exist. They keep their expiry until someone renews or replaces them.

## Steps

1. Under **Share-link policy**, pick a **Default expiration** from the list. This is what a link gets when a person shares with the organization default.
2. Tick or untick **Allow links that never expire**. When it is off, nobody in the organization can create a link without an expiry.
3. Press **Save policy**.

## What you see

- The note under the section confirms the policy applies to files, folders, work orders, billing, agreements and every other shareable record.
- A never-expiring link is still read-only, and it can still be stopped or replaced from the record it belongs to.
- **Save policy** stays greyed out until you change something.

## If something looks different

- The **Default expiration** list is shorter than you expect: your plan caps how long a link may last, and Nova only offers choices up to that cap.
- **Save policy** fails with a message about the share-link policy: the change was not stored. Try again.
- A team member still sees a "never expires" choice after you turned it off: they need to reload the page they are sharing from.
