In the sidebar, open **Sales & Billing**, then **Getting Paid**, then **Bank Deposits**. The page address is `/bank-deposits`.

When customers pay by card through Nova Payments, the money is gathered up and sent to your bank in deposits. This page shows each deposit, its progress, and the payments, refunds, fees and disputes inside it.

## Before you start

- Your role needs permission to view deposits. Ask your admin if the page shows an access message.
- Deposits appear only after Nova Payments is set up (see [[set-up-nova-payments]]) and a card payment has been taken.

## Steps

1. Look down the list. Each row shows the **Date**, the **Amount**, a **Status** of **On the way**, **Arrived**, **Failed** or **Cancelled**, how many **Payments** it holds, and a **Report** link.
2. Open the **Filters** panel and pick **On the way**, **Arrived** or **Failed** to shorten the list, or **All** to see everything.
3. Press a row. A panel opens titled with the deposit amount.
4. Read **Progress**. It walks from **On the way** to **Arrived**, with the expected date while the bank is still processing it.
5. Read **What is in it**: **Payments collected**, less **Processing fees**, **Refunds** and **Disputes**, plus any **Adjustments**, equals the amount deposited.
6. Scroll to **Payments in this deposit** to see each customer payment by name and invoice, and the matching lists for **Refunds**, **Disputes** and **Adjustments**.
7. Press **Download PDF** to save the deposit report for your bookkeeper.

## What you see

- A banner at the top asks you to **Choose who** gets an email or text when money is on the way, if nobody is set yet. **Notification settings** opens the same place. Only an owner or admin can change it. See [[choose-who-gets-told-about-bank-deposits]].
- **Who gets told about deposits** inside a deposit opens those settings too.
- A deposit that shows **Summary only** under **Payments** has not received its itemized list from the payment processor yet. Check back later.
- Money from a card payment shows up here only once the payment processor starts the deposit. Until then, **Money on its way** on the Nova Payments page (`/settings/org/billing/payments`) shows what is being held and when it should arrive, and each card payment on **Payments** shows its own **Fee and deposit**. See [[check-on-nova-payments-after-launch]].
- To match a deposit to your bank statement, the panel shows the name it appears under on the statement and the bank trace number, when the bank provides them.
- For deposit totals and fees over a period, open **Reports**, then **Bank Deposits** (`/insights/finance/deposits`).

## If something looks different

- A deposit shows **Failed** or **Returned by the bank**: the bank rejected it, usually because the account details changed. Press **Check the bank account** in the panel. It opens the **Bank account** tab of the Nova Payments page, which shows the account on file; if your role can manage bank deposits, **Change bank account** there opens the secure form. See [[check-on-nova-payments-after-launch]].
- The list is empty: no card payment has been collected through Nova Payments yet, or your filter hides them. Press **All**.
- The amount is less than the payments: fees, refunds and disputes are taken out before the money is sent. **What is in it** shows each deduction.
