Change your portal password

Pick a new portal password while you are signed in by entering your current one first; everywhere else you were signed in is signed out for safety.

Select your name at the top right of the portal, then Change your password. The page address ends in /password. You can also get here from Account information.

Before you start

• You need your current password. If you have forgotten it, sign out and use Forgot password? on the sign-in page instead. See Get back in when you forgot your password or username.

Steps

1. Type Your current password. Select Show to check what you typed.
2. Type a New password. The meter under the field shows how strong it is, and the note under it lists what the company requires. Longer is stronger.
3. Type the new password again under Type it again. The page tells you when both match.
4. Select Change password. Select Cancel to leave without changing it.

What you see

• The page confirms the change and returns you to How you sign in.
• You stay signed in on this device. Everywhere else you were signed in is signed out, so anyone with your old password is locked out.

If something looks different

• Change password is greyed out: one of the three fields is still empty.
• The message names a rule the new password breaks, or says the two new passwords don't match: fix the new password and select Change password again.
• The message says your current password is wrong: type it again, using Show to check it.
• The message says too many tries: wait a few minutes and try again.
• The page sent you back to the Overview: you opened the portal from a link to one document, so there is no password to change. Sign in with your username first.
