Reprint or resend a receipt

Find a past counter sale by receipt number, sale number or customer, then print another copy or send it again by email or text.

Updated in release 0.0.1 Needs permission from your admin Open this page in Nova

In the sidebar, open Sales & Billing, then Counter Sales (POS), then Sales History. The page address is /pos/history. The page heading reads Customer transaction history.

Before you start

  • Viewing receipts, reprinting and resending are three separate permissions. If a button is greyed out, ask your admin.

Steps

  1. Type into Search receipt number, sale number, customer, or delivery destination. The list narrows as you type.
  2. Press the receipt row, or open its actions menu and choose Open receipt. A panel opens with the Receipt preview on the right.
  3. To print another copy, type the printer name in Printer, add a Reprint note if you want, and press Print another copy.
  4. To send it again, pick the Delivery channel (Email or Text message), type the Destination address or number, add a Delivery note if you want, and press Send email copy or Send text copy.

What you see

  • The list shows each receipt's number, sale, customer, status, total, when it was issued and its last delivery.
  • The three counts above the list show Matches, Page total and Reprints.
  • Saved delivery destinations in the panel lists the addresses and numbers this receipt already went to, so you can reuse one.
  • Delivery log shows every print and send, with its result.
  • Related transactions links the sale, and any return or exchange made against it.
  • Start return or exchange in the panel takes the sale straight to the returns page. See Process a return or exchange.

If something looks different

  • The list says no receipts match: check the spelling, or clear the search with Reset filters.
  • Send email copy or Send text copy is greyed out: your role cannot resend receipts.
  • The preview reads Unable to render the selected receipt.: close the panel and open it again in a moment. Printing and sending still work.
