Nova Send a signing link yourself
Generate a signing link for one signer from the Signing page and hand it over by text, email or in person when the automatic delivery did not reach them.
In the sidebar, open Agreements, then Signing. The page address is /agreements/signing. Normally Nova emails or texts each signer their link. When a customer never got it, wants it by text instead, or is standing in front of you, generate the link yourself and hand it over.
Before you start
- Your role needs permission to view the Signing page, and permission to manage signers or resend signing links. Without the second, Manual delivery link does not appear on the signer's card.
- The agreement must already be issued; the signer needs a session under Signer sessions.
- A fresh manual link cancels every earlier link for that signer. Only the newest one works.
Steps
- On Signing, open the agreement (see Track agreement signing). The same Manual delivery link panel is also on the agreement's own page.
- Under Signer sessions, find the signer and look at Manual delivery link at the bottom of their card. The text there explains what the signer will have to do when they open it, for example enter a code sent to their email.
- Press Generate manual link. If the signer was already sent a link, the button reads Generate fresh link; if you generated one earlier in this visit, it reads Regenerate link.
- Nova shows the link under the buttons. Press Copy link and paste it into a text or email, or press Open link to open it in a new tab on this device so the customer can sign right here.
What you see
- A note in the panel warns when the new link cancelled earlier ones for this signer session.
- The signer's card updates its delivery attempt count and, once they open it, the open count and opened time.
- Execution progress on the right shows the signature land when they finish.
If something looks different
- Manual delivery link says manual links are unavailable: the session is complete or revoked. Nothing more is needed from that signer.
- The signer says the link does not work: you may have generated a newer one since. Send the latest, or press Regenerate link and send that.
- Signer sessions says sessions will appear after delivery starts: the agreement is scheduled to send later. Wait for that time, or change the schedule on the agreement.
