See your quotes
Open Quotes in the portal to read every quote the company has sent you, check its status and total, and open the PDF to print or save it.
In the portal's sidebar, open Quotes. The page address ends in /quotes. When the company emails you a quote, its button opens that one quote on a secure page, without the summary or your other quotes, with a link at the bottom to sign in and see everything. See Open a quote the company sent you.
Before you start
- You need to be signed in to the portal. See Sign in to the portal.
- You only see quotes the company has shared with your account. If the page says Quotes are not available for your account., the company has not turned quotes on for you. Contact them.
Steps
- Open Quotes. The Your quotes summary at the top counts your quotes under Total Quotes, Awaiting Response, Approved and With Expiration.
- Find the quote in the list. Each row shows the quote number, the total, the Quote date and a status such as Awaiting response or Approved.
- Select View to open a quote in full. Select Hide to fold it back up. When you have only one quote, it is always open.
- To print or save a copy, select PDF at the top of the quote. The printable quote opens in a new tab and matches the copy the company emailed you.
What you see
An open quote reads like the paper version:
- The company's name and logo, the quote number, the Quote date and Valid until dates, and your billing and service address.
- Quote total, with the status under it once you have answered or can no longer answer.
- The line items, then Subtotal, any Discounts or Fees, tax and Total.
- Payment schedule, when the company asks for a deposit or staged payments. Each line says how much is due and when.
- Quote note for anything the company wrote to you, and Your note for what you wrote back when you answered.
- Purchase order, if you added a PO number when you approved.
While a quote is waiting on you, the buttons Approve quote, Request changes and Decline sit beside the total. See Approve, ask for changes, or decline a quote.
If something looks different
- No quotes yet.: the company has not sent you a quote. It appears here as soon as they do.
- Expired or Canceled (the quote says it was withdrawn): you can still read the quote, but you can no longer answer it. Contact the company for a fresh one.
- Invoice created: the company has turned your approved quote into an invoice. See See and download an invoice.
- Replaced by a newer quote: the company sent a revised version. Look for the newer quote in the list before doing anything else.
- PDF is missing: the company has not allowed downloads for your account.
