Find and export service assets

Search the Service Assets list by name, serial number, customer or model, narrow it by location and status, open a unit's page, and download the list as a file.

Updated in release 0.0.1 Needs permission from your admin Open this page in Nova

In the sidebar, open Accounts, then Service Assets. The page address is /service-assets. Every piece of customer equipment your organization tracks is listed here, across all accounts.

Before you start

Your role needs permission to view service assets. Downloading the list needs the Export service assets permission as well; without it, Export Service Assets does not appear.

Steps

  1. Type in the search box at the top. It matches asset names, identifiers such as serial numbers, customer accounts, manufacturers and models.
  2. To narrow further, press Filters. Pick a Customer account, then a Service location at that account; choose a Status or Lifecycle state; and use Archive state to show Active only, Archived only or All.
  3. Select a row, or press View at the end of it, to open the asset's page.
  4. To download what you are looking at, press Export Service Assets. Nova prepares a file with the current search and filters applied and downloads it; a confirmation names the file.

What you see

  • Each row shows the Service Asset name, its Account, Location, Identifier, Status and when it was Updated. Press Manage columns to add columns such as Manufacturer, Model number, Installed or Primary contact.
  • Sort and Order in the filter panel change the order; Rows sets how many appear per page.
  • Saved views keeps a set of filters and columns you use often.
  • Reset filters clears everything you set.

If something looks different

  • No Service Assets match these filters. means the search or filters excluded everything; press Reset filters.
  • Export Service Assets is greyed out: either the list is empty or an export is already running (Exporting...).
  • Service location says there are no matching service locations: nothing at the chosen account matches what you typed. Clear the text, or leave the location filter blank.
  • Track Service Asset is missing: your role cannot create service assets. To add one, see Track a service asset.
