Choose who team emails come from
Team emails come from Nova's email sender with your business name. Pick one of your inboxes instead for all team emails or for task reminders.
In the sidebar, open Settings, then choose Notification Settings under Communications. The page address is /settings/org/notifications. The senders are under Choose email inboxes and phone lines by workflow.
Emails Nova sends to your own people (team messages such as tomorrow's schedule, assignments, mentions and reminders) come from Nova's email sender with your business name. Your connected customer inbox is kept for customers, and its sent folder does not fill up with team notices.
Steps
- Find the Emails to your team row. From the Team messages page, Change in Notification Settings brings you straight to it.
- To keep Nova's email sender, leave the inbox as Nova email sender, with your business name.
- To send team emails from one of your inboxes instead, choose that inbox.
- Choose what happens if that inbox stops working: Send via Nova uses Nova's email sender instead, Preferred available uses your organization's preferred inbox (usually your customer inbox), and Require selected sender sends only from that inbox, so team emails do not go out while it is not working.
- Choose Save senders.
Task and work order reminders
The Work order and task notifications row can have its own inbox. Leave it on the first choice, "Same as Emails to your team" followed by that row's inbox in brackets, to follow the row above. Each "Same as" choice on this page names what it gives today, and changes as soon as the row above changes. Unless you choose an inbox or Preferred available, team emails never use the sender your customers see.
If something looks different
- No texts go to your team from the Emails to your team row. Text notices to staff use the phone lines in the other rows.
- Your role needs permission to change notification settings. Without it, the senders are read-only.
- Customer emails have their own senders. See Choose the number and inbox customer messages come from.
