See your past payments

Find every payment you have made on your account, what each one was applied to, any tip, and the receipt or refund receipt the company sent.

Updated in release 0.0.1 Open this page in Nova

In the portal's sidebar, open Billing, then Invoices & payments. The page address ends in /invoices. The Overview page also lists your latest payments under Recent payments.

Steps

  1. At the top of Invoices & payments, read Payment History in the summary row. It counts each time a payment was applied to an invoice, so a payment split across two invoices counts twice.
  2. Scroll to Recent payment history, which lists your five newest payments. Each row names the payment and the invoice it went to, its status, how it was paid, when it was received, the amount Applied, and any Tip.
  3. For the full picture on one invoice, scroll down to that invoice and read its Payment history section.

What you see

On an invoice's Payment history, every payment shows:

  • the payment number and payment method;
  • its status, the date it was Received, and any note;
  • Applied here (the part that paid this invoice) and Whole payment (the full amount you paid), plus Tip included when there was one;
  • Applied elsewhere and Still unapplied when part of the payment went to another invoice or is still waiting on your account;
  • whether a Receipt or Refund receipt was sent, and when.

Above the invoices, Available deposits and credits lists money already on your account that has not been applied to an invoice yet: deposits, prepayments and customer credits, with their totals.

If something looks different

  • Recent payment history is missing: no payment has been recorded on your account yet.
  • A payment shows a smaller amount Applied here than Whole payment: it included a tip, or the rest paid another invoice or is waiting on your account as credit. The lines under it say which.
  • You want a summary for a whole period rather than one invoice: see Read your statement.
  • A payment you made in person or by bank transfer is not listed: the company may not have recorded it yet. Contact them.
