Check which assets are ready to dispatch

Use the Readiness page to see which vans, trailers and kits can go out today, which carry a warning, and which are blocked or out of service, then open the ones that need attention.

In the sidebar, open Equipment & Fleet, then Readiness. The page address is /assets/readiness. The heading reads Operational Asset Readiness. It shows which assets can go out today and which cannot.

Before you start

  • Your role needs permission to view operational assets. The fleet-wide counts in the tiles also need permission to read asset analytics.
  • You cannot change readiness on this page. Nova works it out for each asset from what is recorded on it: open issues, documents that are expired, expiring within 30 days, waiting for review, rejected or missing, failed or overdue inspection checklists, overdue service, missing supplies, required meter readings, and missing or blocked items in a kit. Anything set to block makes the asset Blocked; anything else makes it Warning. Out of service and Retired come from the asset's lifecycle status, not from these checks.

Steps

  1. Read the tiles at the top: the total, then Ready, Warning, Blocked and Out of service. The last tile is Overdue service when you can read asset analytics, or Attention queues when you cannot.
  2. Under Priority queues, press Blocked dispatch to list every asset that cannot go out and has no override. The other buttons are Readiness (anything not ready, or out on an override), Failed inspections, Compliance (document problems) and Maintenance (service or checklists overdue or due within seven days). The number in brackets is how many assets each holds.
  3. To narrow the list, press Filters and pick a Branch, Class, Profile, Category, Kind, Readiness, Lifecycle status, Assignee or Site location. Type in Search by asset name, tag, serial, or model to find one unit.
  4. Press an asset's name or Open, then press its Readiness tab to see each reason it is blocked or has a warning. Field opens the same asset on the Field Scan page.
  5. Press Clear filters at the top of Readiness queues to empty the search and every filter and go back to All. The button only appears while a filter or search is on.

What you see

  • The line under Readiness queues names the current queue, branch and any other filter you picked.
  • Above the table, under Readiness Registry, the pills All, Readiness, Blocked dispatch, Compliance, Maintenance, Issues, Failed inspections, Profile drift and Unassigned switch queues, each with its count. A line beside the search says how many assets match.
  • Each row shows Asset (name, tag and serial number), Family (class, category and kind), Readiness, Lifecycle, Branch, Assignee, Site and Updated, most recently updated first.
  • The saved views button beside the search keeps a slice, such as blocked trailers at one branch, for your morning check.

If something looks different

  • No assets match the current readiness view: press Clear filters or the All pill.
  • The tiles do not match the table: with analytics permission they count every asset you can see, whatever the filters. Without it, Visible assets, Ready, Warning, Blocked and Out of service count only the rows on the table page you are on.
  • The table did not pick up a change: the refresh button beside the search reloads the tiles only. Reload the page in your browser.
  • An asset shows Blocked but has to go out: record the inspection, service or document it is waiting on, or ask someone allowed to override readiness. See Let a blocked asset go out with a readiness override.
  • An asset shows Out of service: someone took it off the road. See Take an asset out of service or retire it.
  • You want totals by queue and exports rather than a list of units: see Read asset reports.
