Find an operational asset
Search the Asset Registry for a van, trailer, kit or tool, narrow it by branch, class, readiness or queue, then open the asset or act on several at once.
In the sidebar, open Equipment & Fleet, then Assets. The page address is /assets. The page heading reads Operational Asset Registry. It lists the equipment your company owns and runs: service vans, trailers, generators, loaner kits, tools. Equipment installed at a customer's site is a service asset and lives under the customer's account instead.
Before you start
- Your role needs permission to view operational assets. Without it the sidebar entry is missing.
- The row of pills under the heading, Registry, Readiness, Profiles, Classes, Reports, Field and Admin, moves between every asset page. It appears on all of them.
Steps
- Type in Search assets by name, tag, serial, or model. The list narrows as you type.
- To work a queue, press View beside Filters, then choose All, Readiness, Blocked dispatch, Compliance, Maintenance, Issues, Stocking, Failed inspections, Profile drift, Overrides, Assigned or Unassigned. Each view shows how many assets are in it. Remove the active view chip below the toolbar to return to All.
- For a finer cut, press Filters and choose a Branch, Class, Profile, Category, Kind, Readiness, Assignee, Site location, Lifecycle, Dispatch use or Structure. Once a filter or queue is on, Clear filters appears in Operator pivots to go back to everything.
- Press an asset's name, or Open in its row, to open its own page.
- To act on several assets at once, tick their boxes (or Select all visible assets in the header). Buttons appear above the table: under Bulk profile, choose a profile and press Apply profile (it does not add kit parts or document placeholders); the Rebuild button refreshes their readiness and the Process button runs their readiness automation. Applying a profile needs permission to update assets; rebuilding and processing need the readiness override permission.
What you see
- Six tiles at the top: Visible assets, Ready, Warnings, Blocked, Open issues and Overdue service. Without the analytics permission you see only Visible assets.
- Priority queues under Operator pivots are shortcuts to the queues dispatchers use most. Current working set says how many assets are in scope and how many filters are on.
- Each row shows the asset's tag and serial number, its Class, Branch, Readiness, Lifecycle, Scheduling (Schedulable or Non-schedulable), Inventory link (Native asset when it is not tied to stock) and when it was Updated. The row buttons are Open, plus Telemetry, Rebuild and Automate for roles that can use them. The saved-views and column controls on the toolbar remember your layout.
- If your role can see telemetry, a Telemetry in this view card and Telemetry and Last seen columns show which assets have a live tracker and which are stale or disconnected.
If something looks different
- The table says No assets match the current view: widen the filters, pick All, or switch to a broader saved view.
- Create asset opens a form whose fields are all greyed out: your role cannot create assets. See Create an operational asset.
- You need a technician-friendly scan screen instead of a list: press Field scan, or see Scan an asset in the field.
