Answer a feedback request about a resolved request
What the "Rate your support experience" email after the company resolves your request is, how its five rating buttons work, and how long it lasts.
About an hour after the company resolves or closes a request you sent it, it can email you asking how it went. The subject is "Rate your support experience for" followed by your request's subject. The email asks "How did we do" and shows five buttons, from 1 (very dissatisfied) to 5 (very satisfied).
Steps
- Select the button that matches how you feel. A page opens with that rating chosen, but nothing is recorded yet.
- Add a comment if you like, then select Submit feedback. See Rate the help you got.
- If you still need help, use the link under the buttons to reopen or review the request in the portal. See Follow a request and reply.
What you see
- The email says when the feedback link expires, 30 days after it was sent.
- The link takes one answer. The company sees your rating and comment on the request.
If something looks different
- If you ignore the email, nothing happens.
- You already rated the request in the portal: you do not need to answer the email too.
- This is not a public review. It goes only to the company. A request to review the company online is a different message; see Answer a request for a review.
- To stop these emails, ask the company. See Stop emails or texts from a company.
